Hitesh Patel, MD, FACC
Dr Hitesh Patel is a Cardiologist at Frederick Memorial Hospital. Dr. Patel graduated in 3 years Magna Cum Laude from the University of Maryland Baltimore with a BS in Biochemistry. He obtained his Medical Degree from the University of Maryland Medical School. He then completed an internal medicine residency at Temple University Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA and completed a Cardiology Fellowship at Temple University Medical Center specializing in general cardiology.
Dr. Hitesh Patel has expertise in Pacemaker and Defibrillator placement. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and is Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease.
Sheel Tolia, DO
Dr. Tolia is a dynamic, compassionate and hardworking professional. She is adept in performing transesophageal and transthoracic echocardiograms as well as myocardial perfusion studies.
Dr. Tolia graduated with a BS in Biological Science from Wayne State University. She obtained her medical degree from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at St. John Health System. Subsequently graduated from General Cardiology fellowship from St. John Health System. Dr. Tolia is board certified in Internal Medicine by American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine. Furthermore, she is board certified in Echocardiography by The National Board of Echocardiography. She holds board certification in Nuclear Medicine by Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology.
Paresh Visana, PA-C
Paresh Visana is a physician assistant. He received his BS in Biology from Hampden-Sydney College. He graduated Summa Cum Laude with his degree in physician assistant studies from the Jefferson College of Health Sciences in Roanoke, Virginia.
Paresh spent the first 4 years of his career in internal medicine and then transitioned to cardiology in 2007. He is nationally certified as a physician assistant by the NCCPA and is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.

Sunal Makadia, MD, FACC
Dr. Makadia was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia and received his Bachelor’s Degree with Phi Beta Kappa honors from Emory University. He obtained his Medical Degree from New York University. He then moved to Maryland and completed Internal Medicine Residency at Johns Hopkins followed by a Cardiology Fellowship at the University of Maryland in Baltimore. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, and Echocardiography.
He specializes in general, non-invasive cardiology with a focus on preventative cardiology. He enjoys forming long-lasting relationships with his patients and believes that a collaborative approach to a patient’s healthcare is important. His goal is to treat each patient as he would treat a member of his own family. When not in the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife and young daughter, and is a passionate baseball fan.
